At 6:00 p.m. Sunday, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reported that the missing 12-year-old boy in Lyon County had been found by Kuttawa Fire Department personnel and is okay.

Around 5:00 p.m. Sunday, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies, the Kuttawa Fire Department, and Lyon County Emergency Management are on Kentucky 810 South searching for Jonathon “Johny” Simpson, who was last seen on foot after leaving a family member’s home near Iron Hill campground around 1:15 p.m. Authorities report that Simpson was last seen near Boyd’s Landing approximately an hour before the missing person alert appeared on social media.
He’s described as being 5’01”, 100 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes.
Anyone with information on Simpson’s whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 or (270) 388-0911.
