A Crittenden County man faces drug trafficking charges after being arrested in Hopkins County last week.

According to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, detectives with the Madisonville Hopkins County Vice Narcotics Unit received a tip from a confidential source Wednesday morning that 63-year-old Donald Deboe of Marion was selling meth.

Detectives said Deboe was spotted driving south on Madison Square Drive just after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, heading toward the Madisonville Mall, where they conducted a traffic stop. During questioning, Deboe admitted to having a pipe in the vehicle. After a K9 alerted to the car, detectives said Deboe disclosed that he had a small amount of meth in his wallet, which was seized along with a THC vape pen found in the center console.

Deboe was taken into custody and charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of marijuana.
