Mary Harper, 91, of Princeton

Mary Harper, age 91, of Princeton, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025, at her home. She was born October 28, 1934, to the late Clifton and Elizabeth Cropper

Mary leaves behind a legacy of faith, devotion, and love. A longtime member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church, Mary joyfully served by teaching Sunday school, sharing her kindness and wisdom with generations of children. She was also proud to be a member of the Eastern Star, where she formed many cherished friendships. Mary found deep happiness in the simple beauties of life. She was an avid gardener who especially loved her irises, tending them with patience and care. She also enjoyed sewing, pouring her creativity and attention to detail into every stitch. Above all, Mary loved her family. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure.

She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, JW Harper of Princeton; daughters, Sue (Marvin) Maxwell of Christian County and Melissa (Jim) Kohn of Cadiz; sons, James (Shelia) Womack of Cadiz and Bruce (Alicia) Harper of Princeton; brother, David Cropper of Nashville, TN; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Annie Murrell Flora; brother, Darrell Cropper and Thurman Cropper.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 19, 202,5 at Morgan’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Church Cemetery.
