Danny Odell Walker, age 73, of Kuttawa, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, love, laughter and music. Danny was a devoted husband, beloved family man, farmer and faithful member of the Calvert City Church of Christ. He passed away, leaving a legacy of love, integrity, and service. Danny cherished his wife and family above all else, finding his greatest joy in the time spent with them.
Danny was born April 15, 1952, to Odell Walker and the late Wanda Riley Walker. Danny was happiest when he was on a tractor baling hay and tending to livestock. He had a deep fondness for exploring the backroads, often choosing the scenic route over the fastest one. He was a passionate outdoorsman. Danny relished every opportunity to hunt, traveling to Canada, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Texas to share in the pursuit he loved. His stories, laughter, and deep appreciation for all things family, faith, the farm and the outdoors will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. He was passionate about his volunteer work with the Veterans program of Lyon County and Wounded Warriors. Danny honorably served his community as a Lyon County Magistrate, a role in which he was both respected and trusted for his fairness and integrity.
In addition to his father he is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Becky Cook Walker of Kuttawa; son, Michael Odell (Lindsay) Walker of Cleveland, Ohio; brother, Davy (Ann) Walker of Kuttawa; grandchildren, Andrew Walker, Caden Silverstein and Kendall Silverstein; niece, LeeAnn (Michael) Fraliex of Kuttawa; nephews, Tommy (Megan) Walker of Lone Oak and Todd (Kailey) Walker of Louisville; many additional nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Lakeland Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Lakeland Funeral Home with Lance Cordle and Jared Green officiating. Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Cemetery.
