The Caldwell County 4-H Achievement Banquet was held Monday night at the Northside Baptist Church Recreational Building.
This banquet is held each year to recognize and honor local 4-H members and leaders for their accomplishments over the past year. Denise Hartigan opened the meeting, introducing guests, followed by the pledge to the flags and invocation.
A buffet meal was then enjoyed by everyone, prepared by Amy’s Catering, owned by Amy and Shawn Holt. Following the meal, Kentucky State 4-H Vice President Harper Ritchey addressed the group.

Various individuals and businesses donated assorted items to be auctioned off, which resulted in a lot of intense and fun bidding to secure the special sweets. Local auctioneer Wayne Cash led the auction, which added to the entertainment of the evening.

4-H leaders then recognized the participants and winners from the Kentucky State Fair, Country Ham contest, Shooting Sports, Livestock Judging, and Teen Council. Achievement Awards were presented to Harper Ritchey, Addi Hopper, Wyatt Dickerson, and Vanessa Lee.
The Wallace Memorial Outstanding Youth Award was presented to Paycen Rogers. This award is given in honor and memory of long-time 4-H leaders Bettie Sue and Jimmy Wallace. Rogers was proud to be chosen for the award.
