
A Princeton teenager was arrested on assault and other charges on Tuesday after police responded to a call on Violet Loop.
Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison says officers were dispatched to the area of Violet Loop shortly after 3:00 p.m. in reference to a domestic assault. He says when officers arrived, 18-year-old Isaiah Boyd was detained as he was exiting the apartment.
According to police, a female victim reported that Boyd struck her during an argument and threatened to kill her.
Boyd was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault, menacing, third-degree terroristic threatening, and violating conditions of release. He was booked into the Caldwell County Jail.
Later, police said a further investigation revealed that Boyd had stolen a key to unlawfully enter the residence and commit the assault. He was additionally charged with second-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking.
