Princeton family medicine provider Ed Settle, MD, with the Baptist Health Medical Group Family Medicine, will retire Monday, December 1, after 52 years as a practicing physician.
He joined the Baptist Health Paducah medical staff in 2016.
Dr. Settle earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1971, where he was honored with induction into Alpha Omega Alpha. He continued his training at Vanderbilt, completing residencies in both pathology and surgery.
In a written statement, Dr. Settle shared that his guiding philosophy throughout his career has been to care for patients as he would his own family. He expressed gratitude for having worked alongside a dedicated and compassionate team in the Princeton office. As he enters retirement, Dr. Settle said he looks forward to new opportunities and adventures that bring him joy, just as practicing medicine has done for the past 52 years.
Health officials said Dr. Settle’s decades of dedication to patient care and the Princeton community have left a lasting mark, and they extended their best wishes as he begins his retirement.
As Dr. Settle enters retirement, officials noted that trusted community providers Chelsey Farless, APRN, and Suzanne Irvan, APRN, will continue offering high-quality, compassionate care to patients in Princeton and the surrounding areas. Officials said both clinicians are committed to supporting the health and well-being of the local community.
