Linda Ann Mock, 81, of Princeton, KY, passed peacefully on Saturday, November 29th, 2025. She was born in Princeton, KY, on June 27, 1944, the oldest daughter of James and Margaret Carr and granddaughter of Lillie Belle Childress.
Linda was raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from Ribault Sr. High School in 1962 and Flagler College on May 29, 1973. She went on to complete her Masters in Guidance Counseling from Murray State University.
She enjoyed working as a Mental Health Counselor in Rappahannock County, Virginia, and later in Morganfield, Kentucky, to be close by her family. Linda loved her family and prayed for them daily.
Throughout her life, Linda attended southern baptist churches where she lived and most recently attended First Baptist Church in Princeton, Kentucky. In her later years, being unable to attend church she faithfully read her Bible with her daily devotional.
Linda loved watching all sports and cheering on the University of Kentucky Wildcats. She had a deep love for animals, especially her chihuahua, Xena.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lillie Belle Childress, parents, James and Margaret Carr, and her nephew, Mitchell Fitzgerald.
Surviving are her two daughters Lisa Morrow P’Pool and Julianna Clark (Derek), siblings Mary Fitzgerald (Fletcher) and Bill Carr (Ernie), Grandchildren Olivia Russell (Daniel); Abigail Harris (Mitch); Emily Clark; Isaac Matthews; Andrew Clark; and Lilly Clark, Great grandchildren Hadley, Maggie, and Gatlin Russell and Margot Harris; Niece, Miranda Fitzgerald; and nephews, Grayson Carr (Lindsay) and Chandler Carr (Kelly).
The family would like to thank the dedicated nurses and caregivers at Rivers Bend Retirement Center for the attention and care they showed Linda over the past 6 years.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm Wednesday, December 3, 202,5 at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
