Officials with Dawson Springs Independent Schools have announced that students were safely evacuated Monday morning due to a gas leak at the school.
They said elementary students were taken to First Christian Church, and grades 6-12 were taken to First Baptist Church.
Officials said buses were staged around 10:00 Monday morning to release students from the churches, while car riders were able to pick up students at the churches.
No other information has been released at this time.
