Kota Young has announced that he will not seek another term as Caldwell County’s judge executive.
Young announced in a post on social media on Monday morning that he will not seek re-election next year.
In the post, Young shared that serving as Princeton’s mayor and the county’s judge-executive over the past seven years has been a privilege. However, he acknowledged that all chapters must eventually come to an end.
Young said that he has a little more than a year remaining in his term as judge-executive, and he intends to spend each day with the same level of excitement and dedication he had when he first set foot in City Hall, nearly ten years ago.
Young stated that he plans to leave the county with its coffers full, and with a group of projects underway to keep moving the community forward, from industrial buildings to new water lines, parks, library expansions, walking trails, housing developments, and more.
Young further stated that he has no doubt that the best days are still to come in Caldwell County.
WPKY’s News Edge reached out to Young for a comment, but he was unavailable at the time.
