Main roads are mostly clear today, with some slick spots on secondary roads, bridges and overpasses in Caldwell, Lyon and and the surrounding area.

Caldwell County Road Department Supervisor David Waldrum says there are some slick spots on county roads. He says salt trucks will be running intermittently.

Princeton Public Works Director Chris Pool is reporting that all streets inside the city limits look fairly well, but they are starting to get slick on bridges and cross drains.

According to Sheriff Brent White, Lyon County received about 1 inch of snow. He says roads are mostly wet but the elevated surfaces, such as bridges and overpasses, have some slick spots. He says the interstates are clear and traffic is moving well. As of 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, Sheriff White indicates they have not worked any accidents.

Police Chief Mike Opalek says roads in Dawson Springs deteriorated overnight, with some slick spots hiding within the wet surface. He reports the roads look very wet, but drivers need to be mindful of black ice. He urges residents to stay home if you can and if you have to get out to please drive “like you have some sense.”
