Keith Adcock, 69, of Eddyville, Kentucky, passed away on December 3, 2025, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. Born on July 27, 1956, in Madisonville, Kentucky, to the late Velma Jean (Stewart) Adcock and John William Adcock. A few years later, the family welcomed his brother and lifelong best friend, John Jr.
Keith started working in the grocery business at just 16 years old in Madisonville, where he met his future wife, Teresa Tapp. They married in 1980, and in 1984, they welcomed their daughter, Erica. That same year, the family made the move to Eddyville, a place that quickly became home. Three years later, in 1987, their son Chad completed their family.
Keith spent more than three decades serving the Lyon County community as the manager of Sureway, later the Piggly Wiggly, and finally, the Food Giant. Because of his impact at the store and throughout other community organizations, Keith was proudly awarded the title of Citizen of the Year in 2001.
Sports were a huge part of Keith’s life, but nothing meant more to him than watching his kids play and coaching countless others in Lyon County.
In his later years, Keith found his greatest happiness in being “Papaw.” His grandchildren, Ezra and Wilder, were his entire world. From watching Wilder on the baseball field to attending dance recitals with Ezra, he loved every minute he got to spend with them. He also adored his loyal cat, Grey Thomas, who stayed faithfully by his side.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Teresa Tapp Adcock; his daughter, Erica Adcock (Jade Akbari); his son, Chad Adcock (Mary Lynn); his grandchildren, Wilder and Ezra, all of Nashville; his brother, John William Adcock Jr. (Jackie) of Vine Grove, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Keith will be remembered for his loyalty, humor, and the way he loved his family and the Eddyville community with his whole heart.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Lakeland Funeral Home with Bro. Troy Jent officiating. Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Cemetery in Eddyville.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Lakeland Funeral Home.
