Tashica Denise Grooms Boyd, age 46, of Princeton, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025, in Mississippi.
She was born on July 8, 1979, in Madisonville, Kentucky, to her parents, Jerry and Patricia Denise Hall Grooms. Tashica leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. A proud graduate of the Caldwell County High School Class of 1998, she cherished her time in the school band playing the flute and serving on the color guard. Those who knew her will remember her beautiful smile and her gentle spirit.
A devoted and tireless worker, Tashica always balanced two jobs with grace and determination. She served the community for over a decade as a clerk in the Caldwell County Clerk’s Office and as an admissions clerk in the Caldwell Medical Center Emergency Room. Whether helping a neighbor, supporting a coworker, or comforting a patient, she approached every task with kindness and sincerity.
Above all, Tashica was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She enjoyed shopping, taking family vacations, and spending time with those she loved most. A dedicated member of Spillman Chapel in Princeton, she was especially active in the children’s ministry, where her nurturing heart made a lasting impact.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 23 years, Warrick A. Boyd; three daughters, A’mya Tashae Boyd, Jada Sade Boyd, Jayme Nicole Jackson, all of Princeton; two sons, Dequaz Glover of Princeton, Jaylen (Jikalya) Boyd of Louisville; sister, Tashae Danielle (Travarius) Baxter; five grandchildren, Cali Jackson, Cirah Shemwell, Adelynn Glover, Bellamy Glover, Jaylen Boyd, Jr.; special nephew, Jeriko Baxter; and mother-in-law, Bettye Boyd.
Tashica was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Charles and Marcia Hall; paternal grandmother, Naomi Tinsley; paternal grandfather, Charles Grooms; father-in-law and step-mother-in-law, Stewart E. and Adrian Boyd.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Rev. Kim Traylor officiating and Rev. Carl Copeland and Rev. Byron Copeland assisting. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Princeton.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
