Charles “Red” Howton, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Caldwell Medical Center.
Red had a lifelong passion for fishing and farming, finding joy and peace in the outdoors he cherished. He loved his family deeply and took great pride in caring for them. A faithful member of Ogden United Methodist Church, Red lived his life with quiet strength, devotion, and kindness. He was born April 7, 193,6 to the late Roy Davis and Aminell Holeman Howton.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Teresa (Donnie) Scott of Princeton; sister, Margarette Sigler of Princeton; brother, Ronnie Howton of Marion; beloved grandchildren, Bryan (Toni) Martin and Abby (Rob) Hodge; great-grandchildren, Joel Martin, Graham Hodge, Greyson Hodge and Hunter Hodge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Ann Howton; sister, Joycedene Simpson; and infant brother, Gary Davis Howton.
A memorial visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm Saturday, January 10, 2025, at Ogden Memorial United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 10, 2025, at Ogden Memorial United Methodist Church with Bro. Bryan Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
