A rollover crash on West 7th Street in Hopkinsville resulted in a traffic slowdown on Sunday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say a public safety vehicle driven by 53-year-old Richard McAskill had his lights activated and was passing vehicles to catch back up to the escort of Santa in a fire truck.

As McAskill reportedly went to pass one of the vehicles driven by 39-year-old Michael Keller of Princeton, who had his signal on, turned into the Dodge Store, leading to a collision.

Keller and his passenger were treated at the scene for minor injuries. McAskill was later taken by law enforcement to the hospital for injuries as well. Police say no one wanted to be taken to the hospital by ambulance.
