Michael Faris, an Air Force veteran, Kentucky businessman, and aviation professional, has officially filed to run for the U.S. Senate as a Republican in the 2026 election.

Faris submitted his candidacy paperwork on December 15, formally entering the race to represent Kentucky in the U.S. Senate. He was joined by his wife, Christina, required witnesses, and several supporters at his filing.

According to the family, his campaign emphasizes restoring accountability to Washington, defending constitutional freedoms, and prioritizing Kentucky families and workers over special interests and career politicians.

Faris said he’s not running to manage decline or protect a broken system, but instead to restore integrity, accountability, and common sense to government.

Faris has more than two decades of experience in aviation and aerospace maintenance. He is the founder and president of PRIMEHAWX, LLC, an Elizabethtown-based aviation maintenance company that provides inspection and maintenance services for H-60 Blackhawk helicopters worldwide.

His campaign priorities include restoring constitutional limits on federal power, reining in unelected bureaucrats and activist judges, making tax relief permanent for working Americans, cutting wasteful federal spending, and defending Kentucky jobs, farmers, and small businesses.
