A Fredonia woman was taken to the hospital after a single-vehicle wreck in Caldwell County last week.
Sheriff Don Weedman says the wreck occurred last Wednesday, December 17, at the intersection of Hopkinsville Road and Friendship Road.
According to deputies, an investigation revealed that 45-year-old Jenny Guill was driving north on Hopkinsville Road when, just before reaching Friendship Road, her vehicle left the road, entered a ditch, and struck a culvert. Deputies said the impact caused the vehicle to go airborne, roll over, and ignite a small fire.
According to Sheriff Weedman, the fire was quickly extinguished by a good Samaritan from Atmos Gas Company.
Deputies said Guill was transported by AmeriPro EMS to the Caldwell County Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
