Jerry Patterson, 84, of Greenville

Jerry “Spike” Patterson, a man known for his spirited zest for life and his need for speed, passed away on December 28, 2025, in Greenville, KY, at the age of 84. Born on October 3, 1941, in Caldwell County, KY, Spike was a man who lived his life with enthusiasm and a sense of adventure.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jewell Donald Patterson and Geneva Cooper Bates, and his siblings, Peggy Cochran and Steven Patterson.

He is survived by his daughter, Deanna Baugh, and her husband, Kevin; his bonus daughter, Charly Todd, and her husband, Jacob; and his son, Ryan Patterson, and his wife, Robin, the centerpieces of his life. Spike’s legacy continued through his cherished grandchildren, Dylan Baugh, Dallas Gould, Jonah Gould, Nathan Carson, Gaven Gould, and Tori Walker, and his great-grandchild, Aubrey Gould; his sister, Stacey Patterson, and his brother, Dan Patterson.

Spike’s professional life was marked by his dedication and hard work as a retired electrician for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). Through his professional endeavors, Spike served his country with pride in the Army Reserve, where he learned the value of service and community.

Spike’s interests were as bold and dynamic as his personality. He had a passion for racing his Nova. His garage was a place where he could tinker with mud trucks and indulge in his love for 4-wheeling. Spike’s membership in the Shriners was a testament to his commitment to brotherhood and community service.

Spike’s spirit will continue to race through the memories of those he leaves behind, reminding them to embrace every moment with the same fervor and passion he did.

Jerry “Spike” Patterson had a life well-lived, a race well-run. He has crossed the finish line of life with the same gusto with which he lived it, leaving us with cherished memories and hearts full.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Friday, January 2, 2025, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, January 2, 2025, at Morgan’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Princeton Memorial Gardens with military honors.
