Donna Gray Williams, 79, of Eddyville, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Caldwell County, Kentucky, on September 23, 1946, to her late parents, Furman Ed and Mary Lucille Gray. She was a devoted wife, momma, Granna, Little Granna, Don Don, sister and friend. Donna faithfully served Lyon County as a teacher’s assistant and was a proud member of the Lyon County Retired Teachers Association. She was a devoted member of Eddyville First Baptist Church and a Titus 2 woman for so many. She truly taught younger women how to love God and their husbands.
Donna was an avid Lyon County sports fan, traveling many miles supporting her grandchildren and other youth of Lyon County play ball. She and Bobby were often found watching their grandkids and other church friends play church league softball. She found peace when she was at the farm, reminiscing on the many memories made there. She donated countless hours of her time behind her sewing machine, making costumes for church plays, outfits for her grandkids, dresses for many and altering many formals. Donna found joy in gardening, and she will be remembered for her kindness and the care she showed to those around her. Donna’s greatest joy was spending time outside with her husband, Bobby, and with her children, grandkids and greats.
Donna is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bobby Lewis Williams; daughter, Carol (Mark) Bridges of Eddyville; son, Steve (Linda) Williams of Greenville; three sisters, Gina (John) Bingham of Eddyville, Kathy (Larry Don) Howell of Draffenville, Peggy (John) Wheeler of South Carolina; brother, Forrest E. (Melody) Gray of Eddyville; grandchildren, Lindsey (Aaron) Ausenbaugh, Jaclyn (Chris) Mitchell, Hope (Dakota) Roby, Eli Williams, Brody Bridges (fiancé, Kendall); five great-grandchildren, Kamden Robinson, Olivia Mitchell, Saylor Roby, Brilee Mitchell, Paxton Roby; many nieces and nephews; and many others who called her Granna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Furman Ed Gray and Mary Lucille Salyer Gray.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Lakeland Funeral Home with Bro. Jay Brown and Bro. Justin Wesson is officiating. Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Cemetery in Eddyville.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Lakeland Funeral Home.
