Dwayne Hale/Caldwell County Jail
A Princeton man faces multiple charges after police responded to a domestic-related call on South Seminary Street last week.
According to Princeton Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison, officers responded to the 500 block of South Seminary Street just after 2:45 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, following a call about a woman screaming for help.
He says the woman told officers her husband, 57-year-old Dwayne Hale, threatened her by holding a knife to her neck as he tried to stop her from leaving the home.
Police said Hale was not on the scene when officers arrived, but he was located in the area a few hours later.
Hale was taken into custody and charged with first-degree unlawful imprisonment, third-degree terroristic threatening, and menacing. He was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
