She was born on February 27, 1952, in Caldwell County, Kentucky, to her late parents, Urey “Pete” and Dimple Crowder Morse. She worked seventeen years at First Bank (now First Southern National Bank), beginning as a teller and later becoming the head bookkeeper. She went on to serve the Caldwell County School Board, where she helped establish the Hope & Cope Center. She concluded her professional life as a payroll administrator for the school system.
Above all else, Bonnie loved her family. She found her greatest joy in caring for her grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Dou-Do.”
Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Stacey (Chris) Holeman; son, Troy (Jami) Nichols; two sisters, Charlotte (Bob) Stoneburner, Brenda Morse; sister-in-law, Bonnie Kay Armstrong, all of Princeton; brother-in-law, Buddy (Gracie) Nichols of Florida; six grandchildren, Boyce (Jessica) Nichols, Sidonia Nichols, Corbin Nichols, Timothy Nichols, Brady Holeman, Harper Holeman; one great-granddaughter, Dru Ann Nichols.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Little Man” Nichols; brother, Tommy Morse.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
