Carolyn Mathias, 35, of Princeton

Carolyn Leann Mathias, affectionately known as “Leann,” was born on April 1, 1990, in Murray, Kentucky. She brought joy and creativity into the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her until her untimely passing on December 4, 2025. Leann’s spirit was vibrant, filled with a passion for life that was reflected in her numerous interests and talents.

A devoted member of the Baptist faith, Leann was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Princeton, Kentucky. Her creativity soared through various hobbies, as she absolutely adored cooking, painting homes, and even took on the fulfilling challenges of rebuilding homes. In addition to her artistic endeavors, she found peace and inspiration in the great outdoors and had a particular talent for refinishing furniture, turning the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Leann’s legacy lives on through her beloved family. She is survived by her loving mother, Anna McGrath, and her children: sons David Stallins and Eli Mathias, and daughter Trista Mathias. She also leaves behind her brothers, James Oliver, Jessie Sowell, and Rickey Ray. Leann was predeceased by her father, Michael E. Sowell.

Leann will be remembered not only for her creative talents and passionate spirit but also for the warmth and love she shared with those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Burial will be held at a later date at Crossroads Church Cemetery, Princeton, Kentucky.
