Princeton Man Charged After Running from Court Security at Courthouse

A Princeton man is facing charges after an incident inside the Caldwell County Courthouse involving an attempted arrest and a brief foot chase on Tuesday.

Sheriff Don Weedman says that as Court Security attempted to arrest 36-year-old Robert Stucker, he fled the courtroom and ran down the stairwell, trying to avoid being taken into custody. He says that a deputy immediately pursued Stucker, and he was taken into custody.

Stucker was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail. According to the jail’s website, he was charged with failure to appear, second-degree escape, and third-degree fleeing or evading police.
