Drivers need to be aware that the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close KY 819 at mile point 2.45 in Lyon County beginning Monday.
According to state transportation officials, the existing bridge over Panther Creek, located along KY 819 north of KY 93, will be demolished and replaced with a new bridge.
Transportation engineers expect the new bridge to open to traffic by mid-March, weather permitting, with final paving scheduled for the spring.
Officials advise motorists to find alternate routes.
