Amanda Overbaugh/Crittenden County Detention Center mugshot
A trespassing complaint in Lyon County early Saturday led to the arrest of a Kuttawa woman on a weapon charge.
Lyon County Sheriff Brent White reported that 36-year-old Amanda Overbaugh, also known as Amanda Rowlands, was taken into custody around 2:20 a.m. Saturday near a campground off KY 1055, following a trespassing complaint and a motorist assist call in the area.
According to Sheriff White, Overbaugh was found with a handgun and ammunition, which she is prohibited from possessing due to prior convictions for multiple burglaries and meth-related offenses. He said that she was out on bond for an unrelated criminal trespassing charge at a construction site near Kuttawa, a case still pending in Lyon District Court.
Overbaugh was charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
The Eddyville Police Department assisted the Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff White indicates the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
