Police Seek Help Identifying Person of Interest In Counterfeit Money Investigation

Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying a person of interest in an investigation into fake money used in Lyon County.

Kentucky State Police Post 1 reports that on January 20th, they received information about counterfeit money being used at Wendy’s in Kuttawa. Troopers say they obtained security footage of the incident, which took place at approximately 1:35 p.m. that day.

According to police, the person of interest is a white man with dark facial hair, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, khaki shorts, and a dark baseball-style cap.

Anyone with information about the individual’s identity is asked to contact Kentucky State Police Post 1 at (270) 856-3721 or by submitting a tip using the KSP Tip Line.
