Ann Ramey Dunning, age 87, of Eddyville, passed away February 16, 2026, at her home.
Ann was born July 23, 1938 to the late Clinton and Thelma Holloway Ramey. She will be remembered as a woman of deep faith, dedication, and service. A devoted member of Eddyville Methodist Church, Ann found great joy in her Bible studies and was actively involved in many church activities throughout her life. Her commitment to community extended beyond the church walls-she was a proud leader in Girl Scouts of the USA in her younger years, as well as 4-H and the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service. She was also a faithful member of the Homemakers Club and United Methodist Women.
A gifted student, Ann graduated as a valedictorian of her high school class. She went on to serve for many years as a dedicated bookkeeper at Apex Engineering, Inc., where her diligence and integrity were greatly valued. Ann’s life was marked by service, leadership, and unwavering faith, and she leaves behind a legacy of devotion to her church, her work, and her community. Above all, her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her adoring husband of almost 70 years, William “Bill” Dunning of Eddyville; loving daughter, Chris (Brent) Bugg of Eddyville; sister, Linda Williamson of Princeton; brothers, Tony Ramey of Florida and H.C. Beck of Princeton; grandchildren, Daniel (Ashley) Bugg of Fredonia and Alex Bugg of St. Petersburg, FL; great-grandchildren, Tucker, Grant and Arlie Claire Bugg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Edward Dunning; sisters, Virginia Bell Glass, Mary Smith and Ethel Faulkner; brothers, A.C. Ramey and Hale Ramey.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm, Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Lakeland Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, February 23, 202,6 at Lakeland Funeral Home with Rev. Steve McVay and Rev. Warren Hopper officiating. Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Cemetery.
