The Caldwell County Board of Education met Monday night, approving a capital funds request and receiving updates on elementary school activities.
As part of the consent agenda, the Board approved tentative staffing allocations, the school calendar for the 2026-2027 academic year, and a capital request totaling $344,644 to cover property insurance, along with some general maintenance at the middle school.
With no action items on the agenda, the Board received reports that included the annual cybersecurity update from Director of Technology Ryan Wesley and several updates from Caldwell County Elementary School Principal Phillip Noel.
Noel provided an update on the school’s progress with the I-Ready program for math and reading.

Regarding student behavior, Noel noted he is implementing some different approaches.

click to download audioDuring the meeting, Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Roach also recognized the Caldwell County High School Cheer Team for their recent participation in the National Cheerleading Championship in Orlando, Florida, as well as Hope Coordinator Stephanie Randall, who received the IMPACT award.
