Meet Meshach. Fresh off the airplane and hitting the ground running! From Johannesburg, South Africa to Princeton, KY. Meshach now calls Kentucky his second home following two stays here. He says he learned of this weekend’s H.R. Ministry’s Men’s Conference by seeing and hearing about the flyer on WPKY’s Coffee Talk with Tess, and he just had to get here for it. Believe it or not, he’s a regular listener to Coffee Talk from all the way in South Africa! We were so glad to get to sit down with him and catch up while he was in town.
Most of you probably recogzize the name from Bible and Sunday School lessons most of your life. alongside Shadrach and Abednego, Meshach (originally named Mishael) was brought to Babylon and thrown into a furnace for refusing to bow to a king’s image, but was saved. Of course we had to ask if had brothers named Shadrach or Abednego, and you won’t believe the answer!
Plus, have you ever wondered about all those shoeboxes our local churches work so hard to put together? Where do they go, who distributes them and are they really special to the children? Well today we found the answers to those questions and so many more. For instance, did you know the leading cause of those recipient children needing the shoeboxes is largely due to single parent households? Meeshak is on a mission to change all that. Listen to his full visit alongside Bro Harrell Riley below.
If you’d like to meet Meshach or hear his special message in person, he will be visiting Lamasco Baptist Church this Sunday(2-22-26) at 10:45am, and again at Oscar Baptist Church in Ballard County that evening.
