Elizabeth Gray Oliver, age 90, of Eddyville, passed away February 21, 2026 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
Elizabeth was born February 20, 1936 to the late Jack and Delilah Jones Gray in Lyon County. She was a long time faithful member of Friendship Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. Elizabeth was known for her outstanding cooking skills and she enjoyed having family gatherings around the table, especially when it was time to play games. At one point Elizabeth had an impressive flower garden, which she tended to with love and care. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who cared deeply for her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Darla Spurlock of Clarksville, TN and Saundra (Mark) Ramey of Moss Point, MS; sisters, Joyce Bynum of Bloomington, IN and Lavon Wallace of Kuttawa; brother, Boyce Gray of Brownsville, KY; grandchildren, Jamie Oliver, Shane Spurlock, Greg Spurlock, Landon Sagnella, Jennifer Cumbest, Clint Ramey, Tuesdey Oliver, Amanda Oliver and Levi Oliver; twenty three great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Johnston Oliver; sons, Drew, Darryl and Brent Oliver; granddaughter, Shannon Oliver; great-granddaughter, Chandra Sterling; sister, Juanita Decker.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Lakeland Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Lakeland Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky Sexton officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Methodist Cemetery in Lyon County.
