State police are investigating a crash involving a truck and a bicycle that claimed the life of a Dawson Springs man last week.
In a Tuesday release, state police say they were notified by Hopkins County Dispatch around 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18th, to respond to a fatal accident near the 4200 block of Charleston Road.
Police say a preliminary investigation indicates a pickup truck heading north on Charleston Road changed lanes to pass another vehicle and struck 49-year-old David Baggott, who was riding a bicycle. Baggott was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hopkins County Coroner.
State police say the investigation into the deadly crash is ongoing.
