Richard Cummins, 79, of Princeton

Richard “Eddy” Cummins, 79, of Princeton, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at his home.

He was born in Lamasco, Kentucky, on July 22, 1946, to his late parents, Dale Woodson and Mildred “Lyzetta” Prince Cummins. Eddy was a veteran of the United States Army, an avid bird hunter, and a produce salesman. Eddy spent the majority of his life as a member of Lewistown Christian Church and, more recently, attended Donaldson Baptist Church. In addition to his farming, he worked as a steel mill worker for over 34 years.

Eddy is survived by his two sons, Eric Cummins of Princeton, Heath (Dana) Cummins of Caldwell County; one sister, Ginger McClure of Lyon County; six grandchildren, Audree, Tabor, Madux, Joshua (JonRenee), Jordan, Kasie; and six great-grandchildren, Daylin, Gennix, Kalius, Limoni, Junie Kaye, Josie Lynn, and one more on the way; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Sue Clayton Cummins; sister, Joette Martin; and brother, Freddy Cummins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Scarberry Cemetery in Caldwell County.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
