As spring approaches and mowing season nears, Princeton Public Works is asking family members of those interred at Cedar Hill Cemetery and Memorial Gardens Cemetery to remove excess items.

Officials say each headstone may display up to three items: one set of flowers placed on the ground, one flower saddle on the headstone, and one statue or single shepherd’s hook—such as an angel or shepherd’s rod—positioned on either the right or left side of the headstone.

Items like benches or an excessive number of concrete statues are not permitted under city ordinance, and will be removed from the cemetery on March 16, and may be picked up at the Cedar Hill Cemetery office on Stone Street.
