The Marion Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a man and woman involved in passing counterfeit money at multiple local businesses, as part of an ongoing investigation.
According to police, the man and woman are believed to be traveling together. Both individuals reportedly used counterfeit money at two different business locations in Marion, handing over the fake bills with the intention of having it applied to an app.
Authorities say the pair committed similar acts in Fredonia before coming to Marion. At this time, police do not know their direction of travel or what type of vehicle they may be using.
