
The Caldwell County Grand Jury issued seven felony indictments during its March session, with charges ranging from drug offenses to criminal mischief and unlawful imprisonment.
A true bill was returned on Breanna Nicole Duvall of Princeton on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
Duvall was taken into custody by Princeton Police on January 6th after a search warrant was executed at a home in the 200 block of Center Street. Police say she admitted to owning and trafficking the controlled substances found during the investigation.
Dwayne Hale of Princeton was indicted on charges of first-degree unlawful imprisonment, third-degree terroristic threatening and second-degree persistent felony offender.
The charges stem from a domestic-related incident on December 31, 2025, when Princeton Police responded to the 500 block of South Seminary Street after receiving a call about a woman screaming for help.
According to police, the woman reported that her husband, Dwayne Hale, had threatened her by holding a knife to her neck while trying to prevent her from leaving the home. Hale was not at the scene when officers arrived, but was found nearby a few hours later and taken into custody.
Donterius Matchen of Princeton was indicted on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of marijuana.
Matchen was arrested on January 7th after Princeton Police responded to a complaint of threats made against the caller. Officers reported that Matchen was located at the intersection of West Green and North Plum streets, where he was found in possession of marijuana and meth.
Christopher Oakley of Princeton was indicted for first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine and fourth-degree assault, following a November 22, 2025, incident investigated by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office.
C.J. Brummett of Dawson Springs was indicted on charges including driving under the influence – first offense, vehicle nuisance, harassment, and first-degree criminal mischief.
The charges stem from an incident on November 12, 2025, that was investigated by Kentucky State Police.
Bryan Cary of Kuttawa was indicted on one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon from an incident on November 20, 2025 incident investigated by the Princeton Police Department.
Misty Dawn Samples of Henderson was indicted on charges of careless driving, first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and first-offense driving under the influence.
These charges stem from a December 10, 2025, incident investigated by the Kentucky State Police.
