Loudell McLeod Brindley passed away on March 17, 2026, in the Caldwell County Medical Center. She was born on October 16, 1935, in Marshall County, to the late Joe McLeod and Claudia Wilson McLeod.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Boyce Earl Brindley, with whom she shared a life full of joy and companionship. Her siblings, Maude Herring, Rosie Garrison, Mary Wadell, Margaret Duff, Willie Mae Pratt, and her brothers, George, Joe, Otho, Cecil, and Billy Ray McLeod.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (L.B.) Odom, and her sons, Ronnie (Barbara) Brindley and Paul (Kelly) Brindley, all of Princeton, KY. Loudell relished in the cherished titles of grandmother and great-grandmother, giving wisdom and laughter to her grandchildren, James (Tammy) and Lisa Story, Ryan and Brad (Kim) Odom, Cole (Lindsey) and Allison Brindley, as well as to several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Her extended family of nieces and nephews will also keep the memory of her kindness alive.
Loudell served as a custodian for the Lyon Court Courthouse, performing her duties with diligence and pride. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Eddyville.
Loudell took pleasure in simple joys. She was an avid reader and an enthusiast of puzzles and quilting, nurturing both her mind and her creative spirit. Her flower garden was an expression of her love of nature, blooming under her careful tending. Known for her Sunday Dinners, she poured love into every dish she prepared, creating of warmth and togetherness for her family.
Loudell Brindley’s warmth and caring nature will be deeply missed, but her influence will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. She never sold a quilt but made and gave many away.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, March 20, 2026, at Lakeland Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Lakeland Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in the Rolling Hills Cemetery.
