The Caldwell County High School Gymnasium buzzed with possibility Thursday, as over a dozen local businesses turned the court into a hub of opportunity during the school’s first-ever Career and Job Fair, helping students explore their next steps.
J.J. Griggs, the College and Career Counselor at the high school, shared with WPKY’s News Edge just how valuable the event is for helping students consider their future paths.
She noted that more than 300 juniors, seniors, and a few students from other classes took part in the Career and Job Fair. Griggs also shared some of the feedback students provided about their experience.
High School Principal Daniel Kukahiko expressed his gratitude for Griggs’s efforts in organizing the event, highlighting how it created a valuable learning experience for students.
He also passed along some of the feedback he received from students.
District Public Relations Coordinator Lizzie Wynn also attended the event, noting it offered students a valuable chance to interact with businesses.
Additionally, Griggs said that the event was a great opportunity to build on the school’s Co-op Program.
With the support of local businesses and school leaders, Caldwell County students are gaining real-world connections and inspiration to help shape their future paths.
