Glen “Butch” Hicks, Jr., age 64, of Caldwell County, passed away March 21, 2026, at his home.
Glen was born August 26, 1961, to the late Glenn Hicks, Sr. and Hazel Messer Hicks. He was a hardworking and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his dogs. Most importantly, Glen was known as the best grandfather and cherished the time he had with them.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 36 years, Shirley Cotton Hicks of Caldwell County; daughter, Christi (Steven) White of Cadiz; sons, Timothy (Alex) Hicks-Vought of Caldwell County, Robin (Kari) Howton of Dawson Springs and Jeremy Hicks of Princeton; sisters, Linda (Greg) Horn, Brenda Castle, Patricia Vanhoose and Angela Castle; brother, Michael Hicks; grandchildren, Hallie Howton, Gracie Howton, Colten White, Chloe White, Mia White, Lexie Howton and McKinley Howton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Williams, and brother, Danny Hicks.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Morgan’s Funeral Home, and on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Morgan’s Funeral Home from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Morgan’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at his home in Caldwell County.
