Jackie Guill, 84, of Princeton, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at his home.
He was born on January 6, 1942, in Princeton, Kentucky, to his late parents, Marshall Johnson Guill and Bertha Guill. Jackie was a dedicated and hardworking man whose life reflected service, faith, and generosity. After proudly serving 10½ years in the United States Army, he continued his commitment to others through his work as an auto mechanic at the Kentucky State Penitentiary, where he was known for his skill and reliability. A faithful member of Greenhill Baptist Church in Princeton, Jackie lived out his beliefs daily and often shared the wisdom that guided his life: “you have to know, that you know, where you are going.” He will be remembered as someone who never hesitated to lend a helping hand, always willing to do anything for anyone, and whose kindness and steady presence made a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Jackie is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sandra Lee (Sheriden) Guill; three daughters, Jacqueline “Lara” (Johnny) Ladd of Princeton, Megan Jo (Pablo) Morales of Princeton, Katherine Lee (Brad Bowers) Guill of Eddyville; son, Ira Wade Guill of Princeton; two sisters, Janie Fraliex of Princeton; two brothers, Michael Guill of Princeton, James “Jimmy” Guill of Princeton; seven grandchildren, Ethan Morales, Jeremiah Morales, Cameron Bowers, Zoe Bowers, Daisy Bowers, Calleigh Mae Guill, Elizabeth Guill.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William Johnson Guill; sister, Brenda Stevens; and brother, Marshall Jr. Guill.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Bro. Ira Guill and Bro. Mike Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in Meeks Cemetery in Caldwell County.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
