The Caldwell County High School agriculture shop class has been busy building birdhouses to give away as part of the tree seedling distribution presented by the Caldwell County Conservation District. The joint giveaway event will be held on Wednesday morning, April 8th, beginning at 8:30 at the Conservation District office at 320 Traylor Street in Princeton.
Caldwell County agriculture teacher Parker Jennings teaches the shop classes at the high school. He explained that the students who build the birdhouses are using the training they receive throughout the year in the classroom to build the birdhouses, and it gives them valuable hands-on experience.

click to download audioThe public is invited to stop by and pick up some tree seedlings and birdhouses, but is reminded that they will be gone quickly once it begins at 8:30 am. Conservation District employees will be on site to answer questions on the day of the event.
