
Saturday night was the annual Junior/Senior Prom at Caldwell County High School.
The school Community Activities Building was full of parents and community members preceding the Prom for the much-anticipated Grand March to allow the sharply dressed young men and women to show off their outfits for everyone to enjoy.
The doors to the gym were opened at 6:30 to begin seating for the Grand March scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm.
The line was formed outside the doors that reached all the way to the Career Center, with some people waiting in line for over an hour.
Samatha Halterman and her family were the first ones in line, and she shared when they arrived and how long they waited.
click to download audioThe gym was turned into a ballroom, complete with a runway to allow the participants to travel across the floor with two stops to allow parents to get pictures.
The Junior Class was responsible for decorating, and one of the class sponsors, high school teacher Magen Woods, shared about the theme and decorations.

click to download audioThere were over 100 entries in the Grand March and they gathered in the cafeteria to prepare to line up in their order to enter the gym. Madison French noted she had a full day of getting ready for the big night.

click to download audioWhen the Grand March was completed, it was time to announce the Prom Queen and King for the 2026 Prom. The room was full of excitement as Holly Heppner and Adam Beavers were crowned Prom Queen and King for the year.
Heppner was excited about being named Prom Queen.
