The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two separate theft complaints that were reported last week.
Authorities say the first incident was reported shortly after 10:00 Monday, June 29, by a Kuttawa resident. According to the Sheriff’s Office, more than $5,000 worth of items were taken from a storage building sometime between June 14 and June 29.
The following morning, on Tuesday, June 30, deputies received a second theft complaint shortly before 7:30. Authorities say a Princeton resident reported that just over $500 in items were stolen from a storage unit off US 62 East. The Sheriff’s Office believes that burglary occurred between June 26 and June 29.
Sheriff’s officials have not stated whether they believe the two break-ins are connected.
