A Princeton man is facing numerous felony and traffic charges after police say he fled from a traffic stop and led officers on a pursuit from Princeton to Dawson Springs.
Princeton Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison says officers tried to stop a vehicle driven by 57-year-old Demetrius Hollowell on North Donnivan Street after determining he did not have a valid operator’s license.
Police say Hollowell refused to stop and allegedly attempted to strike an officer as he fled.
The pursuit continued through the north side of Princeton, into Cedar Hill Cemetery and onto Dawson Road before eventually ending in a parking lot in Dawson Springs.
The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office assisted Princeton Police with the pursuit and taking Hollowell into custody.
Allison says officers allegedly found Hollowell in possession of meth, drug paraphernalia and an open container of alcohol.
Hollowell was charged with first-degree fleeing police, three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, and five additional counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
He was also charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second or subsequent offense, tampering with physical evidence, DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia as well as multiple traffic offenses.
He was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
