
Caldwell County Sheriff Stan Hudson announced Monday morning that he will be retiring, effective July 1st. Sheriff Hudson said his retirement will allow him more time to spend with his grandchildren.
In a release, Hudson said he has been honored and blessed beyond measure to have served as your Caldwell County Sheriff for almost 24 years. He added that it’s been his privilege to be able to meet a great number of citizens in Caldwell County and he’s also been fortunate to have worked with many wonderful leaders within our local county government. He also expressed his gratitude to the citizens of Caldwell County for allowing him to serve you as sheriff and electing him to six terms to serve our county. He said Caldwell County is a great place to live and work.
In addition, Hudson said to say he is proud of the accomplishments of his staff would be an understatement. He added that his deputies and clerks have done an outstanding job and continue to work hard for our community.
Sheriff Hudson went on to say the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office has come a long way since his first term and continues to progress to even higher levels of achievement.
He concluded by stating he is thankful for the great vote of confidence the Caldwell County citizens have shown him and his department during his time as sheriff. He added that he wishes nothing but the best for his successor and the department in the future.
