The Princeton Optimist Club is slightly behind the pace from last year for night one of the Optimist-Kiwanis Radio Auction.
The auction raised $1,184 and sold 35 items Monday, compared to over $1,500 and 62 items sold in 2022.
Club member George Kilgore tells Your News Edge they are still collecting items to auction off, and will take them through Friday.

The auction takes place every night through Friday at the Christian Life Center at Princeton First Baptist Church. The Caldwell Co. 4-H Sharpshooters will again serve dinner and will be ready by 5:00, with proceeds to benefit the organization. The Sharpshooters will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, sweets, and drinks Tuesday night.
