Shirley Smith, age 87, of Princeton, KY, passed away on Saturday January 27, 2024 at Tradewater Health and Rehab in Dawson Springs, KY.
Shirley was born on February 23, 1936 in Caldwell County to the late Jewell and Viola Gray Goodaker Williams. Shirley enjoyed reading and traveling. She loved spending time to her family especially her grandchildren. Shirley was of the Pentecostal Faith.
Survivors include one son, Tommy (Judy) Bogle of Caldwell County; two daughters, Sherrie (David) Darnell of Madisonville, KY and Leigh Johnson of Caldwell County; half brother, Gary Goodaker; five grandchildren, Shane (Missy) Bogle, Nikki Robison, Dylan Smith, Alison (Joey) Clayton and Lori Lovvorn; eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred “Hoppy” Smith; infant daughter, Donna Sue Bogle; two brothers, Monroe Goodaker and Kenneth Goodaker.
No visitation is scheduled at this time.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Sugar Creek Church Cemetery with Bro. Barry Cullen officiating.
