The Pennyrile FFA Region has been named the Regional Star in Agriculture Production and that title for this year goes to Caldwell County Senior Isaac Lane.
Each chapter in the region selects the top candidate for the Chapter Star and then each chapter winner competes to become the Pennyrile Regional Star. This award is based on records of their individual farming operation. Lane began working on his family farm and had grown to own his personal herd of cattle and raising hay. He works 20 to 30 hours per week on his projects and maintains an impressive GPA at school. He now operates 55 acres to maintain his cattle herd. In addition to his work on his farm he has been trained in welding at both the agriculture shop and Career Center. Lane gives an overview of his farming project.

click to download audioThe Kentucky State FFA Convention and contest will be held in Lexington the first week of June. While at the state convention, Isaac Lane along with fellow Caldwell FFA members Shaye Goddard, Emma Koscho, Keegan Miller, Jordan Ortt and Taylor Wynn will be receiving the State FFA Degree which is the highest degree offered by the Kentucky State FFA Association.
