A response by law enforcement to a complaint on Liberty Road in Lyon County led to the arrests of two Princeton residents on Sunday, after a multi-hour manhunt for one of the individuals.
Sheriff Brent White reported that around 3:45 p.m., he encountered 24-year-old Paige Hill and a man the subjects of the complaint on Liberty Road. While detaining Hill, who Sheriff White said was intoxicated, the man fled into a wooded area, prompting a multi-hour search with help from Caldwell County Sheriff’s deputies.
Hill was taken into custody and found in possession of stolen jewelry and a wallet from the property where the complaint originated, along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Sheriff White said Hill also misled officers about the man’s identity.
Hill was charged with public intoxication, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension, and receiving stolen property.
Around 8:30 Sunday night, Sheriff White said a 9-1-1 caller reported a man on the back porch of a residence in the Saratoga community asking to use the phone to have someone come and pick him up. Deputies from Lyon County and Caldwell County responded to the area and found 31-year-old Jacob Webb at the Saratoga Methodist Church, where he was arrested.
Webb was charged with a felony probation violation warrant and fleeing or evading police. Sheriff White noted that Webb was previously convicted of meth trafficking in Lyon Circuit Court, receiving a 10-year sentence in 2021. He said after Webb was granted parole, he absconded from supervision, leading to the warrant being issued for his arrest.
Both Hill and Webb were lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
