The Caldwell County High School Cheerleaders recently competed in a National Cheerleading Contest held in Orlando, Florida.
The competition was held at the Disney World Theme Park, and students from across the nation competed.
For Sophomore cheerleader Cora Rogers, this has turned into a family activity for the past two years and one she hopes to continue. Cora explained the group of 10 members was able to compete in the national contest after they qualified at the regional contest held in Gatlinburg.

click to download audioCora’s mother Lynsdey Rogers shared cheerleading has been a great experience for her and she has seen Cora grow a lot as a result.

Cora’s entire family made the trip to Orlando with her but decided not to enter the park this year. Lyndsey said the cheerleaders had a great time in their two-day visit inside the park.

Cora stated she tried other sports earlier in school but enjoyed cheerleading and chose to stick with it and plans to continue through her high school years.
