When the Caldwell County High School Class of 2025 was being recognized and presented with many scholarships and awards, a special honor was also made for a local hero.
A group of eight Kentucky State Police officers was present at the program to honor one of their own fallen officers and present a scholarship in his memory. Kentucky State Police Lieutenant Brian Duvall represented the law enforcement agency and explained the presentation.

click to download audioThe award was presented to senior Benashka Thomas and was for $1,099,00 , which represented Cash’s badge number. Jody Cash was a native of Princeton and a graduate of Caldwell County High School and lost his life in the line of duty on May 16, 2022.
